Chapter 2 - Page 62

ROUND 2

I think we’re gonna be going back to the M-W-F schedule of doing things. I’m sorry I can’t keep up with the 5 updates a week, and I really would like to, but I’m afraid I just don’t have the time. Will I update more in the future? Sure! But for now, it’s gonna be 3 or 4 updates a week, and it might be spotty even at that. If it changes though, you guys will be the first to know because… well, I love you guys. I love you so much!

Lancaster the Returned Detective

If you’re a fan of Cantrip and you haven’t yet red my previous comic, Lancaster the Ghost Detective, then you’re in luck! Today is the start of Lancaster Re-Wind, which is basically a way to make reposting an old comic a lot more exciting than it really is! I’m chronologically reposting the original comic to archive it, so you can read along as each page goes up.

That’s not all though; it will become the site for Lancaster; all of the old stuff will be going up, but there will also be all sorts of new content as well; lots of things unseen before, and also stuff that is currently in the works. So head on over to lancaster-comic.com and get ready for a great re-run of an old favorite!

Dallas Webcomics Expo

It’s November, and that means the Dallas Webcomics Expo is right around the corner! Myself and Pembroke will be there, selling crap, doing sketches and just generally increasing the local property value. If you’re gonna be in town, head over and say hi!

Hiatus

Sorry guys, but due to personal reasons, I’m going to have to take a hiatus from Cantrip for the rest of the week. It is my hope that regular updates will resume on Monday, so please stop back by then for an update!

I challenge YOU, Readerchu!

Hey gang, it’s a brand new week, and I’m ready to get started on more Cantrip for you guys! But, I would like to ask you all a favor, if I could get your attention for a bit…

If you enjoy reading Cantrip and you like the story and the characters, I know KC and I would really appreciate it if you told all your friends and colleagues about our little comic here. We get approximately 200 visits on the days that a new update is posted, and I’d like to challenge all you guys to get that number up. I bet you’re all up to the task, too, because all you guys are just so awesome like that. So I’m gonna make a lil wager with you, whaddya say?

If you guys can help get the readership up 350 on our update days for a week, I’ll post a special color Weekender for that week.

If we can get to 500 hits on our update days, I’ll post an extra story page on that weekend.

If we can get 700? Full color pages on the following week.

And if we hit the magic quadruple digit 1,000, I’ll post story pages for all 5 days on the following week, AND a color Weekender!

Does that sound good? Do we have a deal?! GREAT! I’m counting on you guys to help spread the word about Cantrip!

Cantrip the Magic Guest Strip

So, since Chapter 01 is about to wrap up, we’re gonna hit the road for some well deserved R&R. Heck, we might even visit Goldwater, Texas and just spend some time out in the middle of nowhere. But for that stretch, we’ll leave Candice and the gang in the most capable hands we know: yours!

It’s our first ever guest run, the Templarsville Footnotes, and for you to participate, you just need to whip up a single page of content for us to put on the site! It can be a strip, a gag, fanart or a short story. When you get something done that you’re proud of, email it to me: poinko [at] gmail.com, with the subject line: Templarsville Footnotes Submission (so I know what it is and don’t throw it out!), and your submission will go in with the others ot be run while we’re away.

Make sure your submission is no larger than 750 pixels wide, ‘neither!

Sketchin’ & Bloggin’

The Sketchblog is making a comeback soon! Keep it on your bookmarks so you can see when it starts back up!
